Suzuki to showcase new metal and celebrate anniversaries at Motorcycle Live

Suzuki is bringing the new metal and celebrating anniversaries of people and product at this year’s Motorcycle Live, which takes place from 16-24 November at Birmingham’s NEC.

John Reynolds BSB celebration

2024 marks the 20th anniversary of John Reynolds’ 2004 British Superbike title, which he won aboard the iconic Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000, built and raced by Crescent Suzuki. In a thrilling season, Reynolds won his third BSB title, and with it took the first BSB title for any 1000cc inline four-cylinder machine. 

To celebrate, John Reynolds will be on the Suzuki stand across both weekends to meet and greet fans and he will also be interviewed by James Whitham on stage to recount some of the on-track battles of that legendary year. Displayed on the Suzuki stand will be his title-winning GSX-R plus his Arai helmet and Teknic leathers and gloves and Alpinestars boots.

Hayabusa anniversary

2024 also marks another anniversary, as Suzuki celebrates a quarter of a century of Hayabusa. 25 years after changing the motorcycling landscape forever, Suzuki will have a special display that will feature a first generation Hayabusa, from 1999, plus second and third generation machines, including the special anniversary edition launched this year. 

Amongst the production machines will be a number of special modified and customised machines that reflect the cult of Hayabusa.

2025 model range

Away from the anniversary displays Suzuki will showcase its 2025 model range, including new metal for the coming year, and recently launched machines such as the GSX-S1000GX and the award-winning GSX-8S and GSX-8R. Sharing Suzuki’s 776cc engine is the V-Strom 800DE and V-Strom 800RE, which will be joined by their V-Strom 1050 and V-Strom 1050DE stablemates. 

Suzuki’s popular GSX-S1000GT will feature alongside the GSX-S1000 and Katana, and a scooter range that includes the Burgman 400 – the original maxi scooter – and three learner-friendly 125cc scooters. The GSX-R and GSX-S125s also offering something in the 125cc segment for new riders or those looking to exploit the fuel economy and agility of the smaller models for commuting. 

Test rides

As well as being displayed on the stand, a number of models from Suzuki’s range will be available to test ride in the show’s Test Ride Zone, while new riders can get a taste of two wheels on one of Suzuki’s 125cc offerings in the Learn To Ride Zone.
